Golf course in Monroe County is looking for a Golf Superintendent to work and train under the current retiring Golf Superintendent. Would take over for the current superintendent in the fall of 2024.
Golf course superintendents are responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of the greens, trees and plants in golfing facilities. Their activities, such as the application of fertilizers and pesticides, must meet all local, state and federal environmental regulations. They report directly to the general manager, club president or owner and supervise gardeners and other green-keeping staff. All facilities, wooded areas and clubhouse grounds, also fall under their jurisdiction. They oversee the golf car fleet and order supplies and maintenance equipment. They must keep accurate records of their activities, which they can then convey to managers and customers.
A degree in turf grass management is a plus, but not required.
