Senior Assistant Superintendent
Persimmon Woods Golf Club is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and hard-working individual to join our Golf Course Maintenance Team. Persimmon Woods is a golf-only club and we are proud that GolfWeek Magazine has ranked Persimmon Woods the 5th Best Private Club in Missouri in 2020 and 2021! The golf course plays 6,939 yards from the furthest tees with a par of 71. We feature sweeping fairways surrounded by native grasses, lakes, and creeks. The grass types are G-2 Bent grass greens, Meyer Zoysia fairways and tees, L-93 Bent grass tees, and Turf Type Tall Fescue rough. The club has hosted numerous qualifying tournaments and Championships during our history.
The Senior Assistant position is designed to prepare the incumbent for advancement in the golf course industry. A highly-motivated individual will acquire the skills and experience needed to be a successful Golf Course Superintendent at an elite private club, and be involved in all levels of upper management, including:
The Senior Assistant will also be expected to provide constant feedback and input in all aspects of the operation. Our maintenance department is a cohesive team that works together, and we encourage involvement and learning. We work together to accomplish as much as possible during the 8-hour workday with the goal of maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
