Mission Statement

The Southern Illinois Golf Course Superintendents Association is the Southern Illinois Chapter
of the The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).

The purpose of the Southern Illinois Golf Course Superintendents Association:

  • To provide for and enhance the recognition of the Southern Illinois golf course superintendents as professionals.
  • To advance the art of greenkeeping and the science of turfgrass management; to collect and disseminate
    information concerning efficient and economical management of golf courses and related environmental issues.

The 2019 Spring meeting was held at Nashville Municipal GC in Nashville Il on Thursday 3/28. President Brian Borah conducted the meeting and extended a special thank you to Host Supt Josh Evans and his crew for hosting the March Meeting and providing the excellent steak dinner at the Nashville American legion. The golf course was in great shape with the greens rolling fast and true! Also a special thank the Nashville Legion for their hospitality in providing the venue for the Meeting and Dinner.
